An educated woman stands up for her rights – she makes sure her own children are educated and that her community thrives. Studies also show that educating girls can break the cycle of poverty in just one generation. Yet millions of girls are not in school today. The Room to Read Girls Education Program employs a unique approach. They help girls eliminate barriers to education by empowering them with life skills and ensuring they make a commitment to their own education.
