This ground-breaking three-part series traverses 5000-kilometers in the footsteps of Rama, India’s biggest cultural hero, who was exiled from Ayodhya on the whim of his stepmother. This is the story of Rama’s ayan or the Ramayana – but not as we know it! For the first time on Indian television, we retraced the sacred geography of the Ramayana using state-of-the-art technology like FPV drones. Stunning visuals brought to life locations that were buried in the pages of the epic. We unpeeled the layers of the characters and discovered the intriguing legends of the Ramayana. One of our most ambitious projects, the series is hosted by acclaimed author Amish Tripathi and was produced by us for Discovery+ India.
